Capchase Launches Mila, an AI Deal Desk for Vendor Financing

Capchase has launched Mila, an AI-powered deal desk designed to automate vendor financing workflows for enterprise technology sales. Available to Capchase vendors at no additional cost, Mila can generate financing proposals, return buyer credit decisions and prepare agreements through email, Slack or a dedicated chat interface. The launch reflects a broader shift toward AI-driven financial operations, where automated underwriting and document preparation aim to reduce delays between a technology vendor closing a sale and a buyer arranging payment.

Capchase Launches 24/7 AI Deal Desk for Vendor Financing

Capchase has made Mila, an AI-powered deal desk for vendor financing, generally available to its vendors, introducing a conversational interface that handles financing proposals, buyer credit decisions and paperwork within a single interaction.

The platform is designed for enterprise technology vendors that offer financing to customers purchasing software, equipment or other technology products. Sellers can email a quote to Mila, mention the assistant in Slack or start a conversation at finance.new. According to Capchase, the system can return a priced financing proposal, a buyer credit decision and paperwork prepared for signature in seconds.

The launch targets a common operational challenge in business-to-business sales: financing workflows often involve multiple handoffs among sales, credit and legal teams. Questions about buyer eligibility, payment schedules and revised deal terms can require repeated communication, potentially slowing transactions.

Miguel Fernandez, CEO and co-founder of Capchase, said Mila is designed to operate around the timing of sales opportunities rather than traditional banking hours. The company argues that faster access to financing information and documentation can help vendors keep deals moving.

How Mila Automates Financing Workflows

Mila supports several stages of a vendor financing transaction. Sellers can submit a PDF quote and receive a branded proposal with up to three payment options priced against the buyer’s available credit. They can also work backward from a target monthly payment to explore how a deal might fit a customer’s budget.

Beyond proposal generation, the assistant can create an order and buyer payment link, incorporate a vendor’s own order form, and assemble financing agreements for legal review. It can also report transaction status, including whether a buyer opened a link, added a payment method or signed an agreement.

These functions bring pricing, documentation and deal tracking into a conversational workflow rather than requiring sellers to navigate a separate portal for every step.

Capchase says Mila uses each deal desk’s context, including its approval criteria and pricing. When a transaction requires human involvement, the assistant can hand it over with the relevant context. This human escalation mechanism is important because automated preparation does not remove the need for review of complex terms, exceptions or legal documentation.

The company says vendors do not need to install software or learn a new workflow. Existing users can start by forwarding a quote through email, while vendors that use Slack can request that Mila be added to their channel.

AI Underwriting Forms the Technical Foundation

Mila builds on Capchase’s AI underwriting infrastructure. The company says its system makes decisions on more than 90% of financing applications in under one minute. Capchase has also introduced an Agentic Lending Coordinator intended to compress a financing workflow that previously took roughly eight hours into about 60 seconds.

Those figures are company-reported performance claims; the announcement does not provide independent validation, detailed methodology or a breakdown of the applications included.

Capchase also reported that more than 75% of financing actions handled by its deal desk have run through Mila since the product entered beta earlier in the summer. Vendor deal desks at Verkada and Barracuda are among those using the assistant through Slack.

Barracuda’s vice president of sales, John McAvoy, said the service provides near-instant responses over email and Slack, helping sales representatives maintain momentum with prospects. The statement offers a customer perspective, although the announcement does not quantify any resulting change in sales-cycle duration or close rates.

The product also reflects a move beyond AI systems that simply answer questions. Mila is designed to execute connected tasks across a financing workflow, from interpreting a quote to preparing documentation and reporting transaction status. That makes the quality of its underlying pricing rules, credit decisioning and document controls central to its usefulness.

Implications for Embedded Finance

Capchase is positioning Mila as an operational layer for vendor financing, a model that allows technology providers to offer payment options to business customers without building every financing process internally.

The company estimates the vendor and equipment financing market at $1.3 trillion. That figure establishes the market opportunity cited by Capchase, but the announcement does not specify the market’s geographic scope, measurement period or source methodology.

For vendors, conversational financing tools could reduce administrative work and help sellers respond to buyer questions outside normal business hours. For financing providers, automating routine tasks may allow deal desk teams to focus on complex transactions, pricing decisions and customer support.

The approach also raises practical questions. Credit decisions must be reliable, customer information must be handled appropriately, and financing agreements require accurate terms and appropriate review. Vendors will need to understand how automated decisions are governed, when human approval is required and how exceptions are managed.

Mila is available to Capchase vendors at no additional cost through email, Slack and finance.new. The next test will be whether the system can sustain its reported speed while maintaining decision quality, documentation accuracy and effective human oversight as usage expands.

Market Landscape

Embedded financing helps technology vendors offer payment structures that align with business customers’ budgets and purchasing requirements. However, financing workflows can involve several operational stages, including quote assessment, credit evaluation, payment-option pricing, documentation and status tracking.

Capchase’s Mila attempts to bring these steps into an AI-driven conversational interface. Instead of requiring sellers to manage each stage through separate communications or portal interactions, the assistant can coordinate multiple tasks through email, Slack or chat.

The product’s reported adoption during beta suggests that some existing Capchase vendors are using the assistant for routine deal desk activities. Its longer-term impact will depend on underwriting accuracy, integration with existing sales processes, the handling of exceptions and the ability to maintain appropriate financial and legal controls.
