The wallet allows customers to send, store, and spend funds across Africa and over 100 countries, combining stability, speed, and affordability in one platform.

Redefining Cross-Border Payments
With the Sendwave Wallet, users can quickly open a digital dollar balance in the Sendwave app, send or receive funds, and deposit money securely. Pegged to the US dollar, the wallet provides a stable value, enabling customers to plan finances, support families, and maintain financial stability without worrying about currency volatility.

At the core of the Sendwave Wallet is USDC, a stablecoin that allows near real-time transfers without the typical crypto volatility. Customers can convert digital dollars to fiat through trusted partners for everyday expenses. Future plans include spending USDC directly via cards and QR codes, expanding the wallet’s utility beyond basic transfers.

The launch leverages the expertise of leading web3 players, including Circle (creator of USDC), Solana (a high-speed, low-cost blockchain network), and Portal (provider of borderless wallet infrastructure), ensuring the wallet is fast, scalable, and reliable.

Looking Ahead
Zepz plans to expand the Sendwave Wallet’s capabilities beyond remittances. Future features will allow users to earn rewards on deposits, pay bills, and spend digital dollars globally, making the wallet a practical tool for everyday financial management.
