Roadzen’s DrivebuddyAI Scores Big with Indian SME Trucking Fleets

Roadzen Inc. (Nasdaq: RDZN), the AI-driven mobility and insurance innovator, has inked deals with six leading SME commercial trucking fleets in India to deploy its in-cabin intelligence platform, DrivebuddyAI. The agreements cover more than 1,500 vehicles, primarily Volvo and BharatBenz trucks operating middle-mile and long-haul cargo routes for third-party logistics providers servicing major e-commerce players.

The contracts span five years, encompassing full hardware installation and a per-vehicle monthly license for software and services, with total contract value projected in the mid-seven-figure USD range. Fleets are expected to be fully operational by March 2026, connected to DrivebuddyAI’s 24×7 Command Centre for real-time AI-driven driver monitoring and intervention. The system can proactively halt vehicles if it detects drowsiness or fatigue, aiming to prevent accidents before they occur.

AI Meets Fleet Safety and Insurance

Beyond real-time monitoring, Roadzen is exploring insurance-linked benefits for select fleets, including safety-based premium discounts and streamlined claims management. This integration leverages Roadzen’s unique combination of AI, telematics, and insurance infrastructure, making the platform a dual tool for operational safety and cost savings.

“DrivebuddyAI is gaining significant momentum,” said Rohan Malhotra, Founder & CEO of Roadzen. “This cluster of wins through referrals in the Volvo and BharatBenz fleet community highlights how smaller, high-performing logistics operators are adopting AI to stay competitive. Safety, efficiency, and compliance are critical in India’s fast-scaling logistics networks. By enabling SME fleets with affordable, high-performance solutions, we’re making India’s roads safer while demonstrating the scalability of our technology.”

Key Features Driving Adoption

DrivebuddyAI uses real-time AI to:

  • Monitor driver alertness and detect risky behavior.
  • Deliver early collision warnings to reduce accidents.
  • Integrate with existing telematics and fleet management systems for actionable safety insights.
  • Provide continuous operational performance data to optimize fleet efficiency.

The platform is validated under both India’s AIS-184 and the EU’s GSR 2144 safety standards, making it regulatory-ready across global markets. Its European debut at InCabin Europe 2025 highlighted over 3.5 billion kilometers of real-world driving and a 70%+ reduction in accidents—proof of its effectiveness at scale.

Scaling Safety for SME Fleets

With over 75% of India’s commercial vehicles owned by small and mid-sized operators, Roadzen’s DrivebuddyAI is targeting a segment often overlooked by enterprise-grade safety solutions. By providing AI-powered safety and efficiency tools to SMEs, Roadzen is not only protecting drivers and cargo but also reinforcing the competitiveness of India’s broader logistics ecosystem.
