Reap Adds Priority Pass Benefits to Stablecoin Cards

Stablecoin infrastructure provider Reap has partnered with Collinson International to bring Priority Pass airport lounge and travel benefits to eligible cards issued through Reap. The partnership gives digital-asset businesses a way to add premium travel rewards to stablecoin-linked payment products and compete more closely with traditional premium card programs.

Reap has partnered with Collinson International to add airport lounge and travel benefits to cards issued through its stablecoin-enabled financial infrastructure. The agreement gives eligible Reap cardholders access to Priority Pass, Collinson’s airport-experience program, including more than 1,900 lounges and other travel experiences worldwide.

The partnership targets a growing intersection between digital assets and conventional consumer payment experiences. Reap’s customers include crypto exchanges, Web3 neobanks, private banks and asset managers that use its infrastructure to develop payment and card products. By adding travel benefits, those businesses can offer a feature traditionally associated with premium credit cards while their customers spend through stablecoin-linked accounts and cards.

The move reflects a broader evolution in stablecoin payments. Early use cases for stablecoins focused heavily on transfers, remittances, treasury operations and cross-border settlement. As stablecoins become increasingly integrated into everyday payments, card issuers and financial platforms are looking for ways to make those products resemble the broader experience offered by established banking and card networks.

That includes rewards, travel benefits, loyalty programs and other services that can influence how frequently customers use a card.

Under the partnership, eligible Reap cardholders will be able to access Priority Pass’s global network of airport lounges and travel experiences. In addition to lounges, the network includes services such as dining, spa facilities and sleep pods, depending on the airport and location.

For Reap’s business customers, the attraction is less about the individual airport lounge and more about differentiation. Digital-asset companies increasingly compete for customers with fintechs and conventional financial institutions, and card benefits can provide an additional incentive for users to make a particular card their preferred payment method.

Collinson International’s research cited in the announcement points to the importance of those benefits. The company says airport lounge access ranks as the most desirable travel benefit in its research, while 92% of Asia-Pacific respondents said travel rewards and benefits encourage card use for everyday and travel expenses.

Those figures come from Collinson’s own research, so they should be viewed as an industry-provider survey rather than a universal measure of cardholder behavior. Nevertheless, the findings illustrate why travel benefits have become an important component of premium payment propositions.

The partnership also illustrates the convergence of digital-asset infrastructure and established financial-services ecosystems. Rather than creating an entirely separate set of benefits for crypto customers, Reap is connecting stablecoin-enabled cards to an established travel-benefits network.

That approach could help reduce one of the barriers facing crypto-linked payment products: the perception that they offer access to digital assets but lack the broader services associated with traditional financial products.

The competitive environment is becoming more crowded. Banks, fintechs, card networks and digital-asset companies are developing products that allow customers to spend stablecoins or other digital assets through familiar card interfaces. Some compete primarily on foreign-exchange costs or global acceptance, while others emphasize rewards, cashback or premium services.

Stablecoin adoption also gives companies a potential advantage in cross-border spending. Users who hold stablecoins may be able to spend across markets without maintaining conventional local-currency balances, although the underlying conversion, card authorization and settlement processes still depend on the infrastructure supporting the card.

For Reap’s customers, Priority Pass adds another layer to that proposition. A crypto exchange or Web3 bank can potentially use travel access as part of its card’s value proposition rather than developing a loyalty network independently.

The strategy is particularly relevant in Asia-Pacific, where cross-border travel, international business and digital-asset adoption intersect across markets such as Hong Kong, Singapore and Japan. Premium travel benefits can provide a tangible service that is easier for customers to understand than many underlying blockchain features.

Rom Remy, SVP Commercial, APAC at Collinson International, said experiential benefits can help payment providers increase engagement, loyalty and customer lifetime value. Reap’s Head of Customer Growth, Pablo Che Leon, similarly framed the partnership as a way for stablecoin-linked cards to deliver benefits comparable with premium traditional cards.

There are limits to the proposition. Priority Pass availability depends on eligible card programs and participating locations, while the underlying value of any stablecoin card still depends on acceptance, fees, conversion rates and regulatory conditions in each market.

Still, the partnership signals an important shift in digital payments. Stablecoins are increasingly being positioned not simply as blockchain-native assets but as components of consumer and business payment infrastructure. As that transition continues, the companies issuing stablecoin-linked cards will increasingly need to compete on the same dimensions as traditional financial products—including convenience, rewards and real-world experiences.

Market Landscape

Stablecoin payments are expanding from transfers and settlement into everyday spending, creating competition around card issuance, cross-border payments and consumer benefits.

The Reap-Collinson partnership illustrates how digital-asset companies are incorporating established travel and loyalty infrastructure rather than building separate ecosystems. This brings Blockchain Financial Technology, Digital Payments, Embedded Finance and the Fintech Startup Ecosystem closer to traditional card services.

For stablecoin-linked cards, the next competitive layer may increasingly involve rewards, travel, loyalty and customer experience—not simply transaction functionality.
