Orrstown Bank Redesigns Website for Better Client Access

Orrstown Bank has launched a redesigned Orrstown.com website aimed at making it easier for consumers and businesses to find banking information, financial products, branch details and educational resources across desktop and mobile devices.

Orrstown Bank has launched a redesigned website as part of a broader effort to improve how clients interact with the financial institution online. The updated Orrstown.com focuses on navigation, search, mobile accessibility and clearer pathways to personal, business and wealth management services.

The Pennsylvania-based bank said the redesign was shaped by direct feedback from clients and employees. Rather than changing its digital banking infrastructure, the project primarily addresses the public-facing layer of the bank’s digital experience.

Among the most visible changes are simplified navigation and improved website search. The redesign also introduces a more streamlined mobile and tablet experience, while making branch locations and contact information easier to find.

For a regional bank, those changes can have practical implications beyond website aesthetics. A bank’s public website often serves as the first point of contact for prospective customers researching accounts, lending products, wealth services or branch availability. Reducing the number of steps required to reach that information can make the digital channel more useful without requiring customers to adopt a new banking application.

Orrstown has also expanded its financial education and resource content. That gives the redesigned site a role beyond product discovery, potentially helping consumers research financial topics before speaking with a banker or using an online banking service.

The bank’s personal, business and wealth management offerings have also been reorganized for easier access. That structure reflects a broader shift across banking technology toward digital experiences that connect product information, service discovery and customer support across channels.

Importantly, Orrstown’s public website redesign does not represent a change to its online banking platform. Existing customers will continue using their current credentials, account-access features and Bill Pay services. The bank’s mobile banking applications also remain unchanged.

That distinction matters because a bank’s marketing website and digital banking infrastructure serve different functions. The former is primarily responsible for discovery, education and customer acquisition, while authenticated banking platforms handle account management and transactions. Orrstown’s approach keeps those systems separate while modernizing the public-facing experience.

The project arrives as financial institutions continue investing in digital channels while maintaining physical branches and human support. Mobile banking has become a core component of everyday banking, but customers still rely on websites to compare financial products, locate branches and obtain service information.

For regional banks, this creates a competitive digital experience challenge. Institutions do not necessarily need to replicate the technology stacks of national banks to improve customer engagement, but they do need websites that work effectively across smartphones, tablets and desktop devices.

The emphasis on search is particularly relevant to banking discovery. Customers may arrive at a financial institution’s website looking for a specific product, mortgage information, branch hours, contact details or educational material rather than navigating through a traditional banking hierarchy. A stronger site-search experience can therefore function as a digital service layer in its own right.

The redesign also fits into the wider evolution of digital banking platforms, where user experience increasingly extends beyond authenticated financial transactions. Open banking infrastructure, embedded finance platforms and digital payments have expanded the number of ways consumers interact with financial services, increasing expectations for simple and consistent digital experiences.

For Orrstown, the new website provides a more contemporary front door to a bank with $5.6 billion in assets and operations spanning Pennsylvania and Maryland. The institution provides consumer and business financial services, with its lending footprint extending into parts of Delaware, Virginia and West Virginia and the District of Columbia.

The announcement does not indicate that Orrstown is replacing its core banking, mobile banking or payment infrastructure. Instead, it represents a focused investment in the customer-facing digital channel.

That distinction illustrates an important trend in banking technology innovation: digital transformation does not always require a new financial platform. In some cases, improving how customers find, understand and access existing services can be an equally important part of the digital strategy.

As regional banks compete with national institutions and digital-first financial providers, website usability, mobile accessibility and content quality are becoming part of the overall customer experience. Orrstown’s redesigned site puts those elements at the center while leaving its existing online banking environment intact.

Market Landscape

Orrstown’s website redesign sits within the broader modernization of digital banking platforms. Banks increasingly have to coordinate websites, mobile applications, authenticated banking, customer support, financial education and digital payments into experiences that feel consistent across channels.

The project is particularly relevant to regional and community banks competing for digitally engaged customers. While the redesign does not introduce a new payments or open-banking platform, it demonstrates how banking technology innovation can also involve improving the digital interface surrounding established financial infrastructure.
