insightsoftware Launches Lineos and Two New Brands for AI-Driven Finance

Enterprise finance software is being reshaped around AI, but fragmented data, disconnected applications and uncertainty over AI-generated outputs remain obstacles to adoption. insightsoftware is responding by reorganizing its portfolio into three specialized brands — Lineos for the Office of the CFO, Certent for equity management and Simba for embedded intelligence and data analytics — while retaining insightsoftware as the parent portfolio company.

insightsoftware Reorganizes Finance Technology Portfolio Around AI

The structure of enterprise software is changing as organizations demand more specialized tools while simultaneously trying to reduce the complexity created by disconnected systems.

insightsoftware’s new portfolio structure reflects that tension. The company has introduced three dedicated brands designed around different enterprise functions, with Lineos focused on finance, Certent on equity management and Simba on data and embedded intelligence.

For GlobalFinTechEdge, the most significant development is Lineos, which targets the Office of the CFO with a unified platform spanning the finance workflow.

Lineos is designed to connect planning, forecasting, close, compliance and reporting while using AI to surface insights for finance teams. The objective is to address a common problem in finance transformation: organizations may have access to substantial amounts of financial data but still struggle to connect it across applications and turn it into timely decisions.

The company’s research highlights that challenge. According to Lineos’ research released alongside the brand launch, 68% of finance professionals believe AI could improve the accuracy of financial data, while 21% hardly trust or do not trust AI outputs at all.

That trust gap is becoming increasingly important as AI moves from experimentation into financial workflows. CFO organizations need automation and faster analysis, but they also need confidence that the underlying information is consistent and that AI-generated conclusions can be scrutinized.

The other new brands address related enterprise technology requirements.

Certent is being positioned around employee equity management. Its platform is designed to support companies at different stages of growth without requiring migration or broker lock-in, while providing reporting and tools for managing equity plans.

Simba, meanwhile, targets CTOs and developers building products that need access to trusted enterprise intelligence. The platform is designed to provide access to relevant data without requiring organizations to move or duplicate it, with an emphasis on consistent and verifiable outputs.

Simba’s accompanying research found that 87% of organizations spend at least 20 hours per month preparing data for AI consumption. That finding illustrates another side of the enterprise AI problem: organizations may have sophisticated models available but still spend substantial time preparing the data those systems need.

The common thread across the three brands is therefore less about a simple corporate rebranding exercise and more about separating technology capabilities according to the operational needs of different enterprise buyers.

For finance teams, Lineos emphasizes connected workflows and decision support. For HR and compensation teams, Certent focuses on equity administration. For technology teams, Simba addresses the data infrastructure required to deliver trusted intelligence inside applications.

insightsoftware will remain the portfolio company and continue supporting products across its markets. The company says its portfolio includes 31 technology companies and serves more than 34,000 customers, while its EPM business added more than 1,000 new customer logos during the year, according to CEO Chris Jurasek.

The company says the new structure follows years of acquisition-driven expansion and is intended to place greater emphasis on organic growth, product innovation, AI and SaaS modernization.

That shift is relevant to the wider financial software market. Enterprise buyers have historically faced a trade-off between broad software suites and specialized applications. AI introduces another consideration: the quality and accessibility of the underlying data can determine whether automation produces useful financial intelligence or simply accelerates existing fragmentation.

For CFO organizations, this makes integration and trust central technology requirements. A finance platform can automate reporting or forecasting, but its strategic value depends on whether the data feeding those workflows is connected, consistent and sufficiently reliable for decision-making.

Lineos’ launch therefore represents more than a new name within insightsoftware’s portfolio. It reflects a broader movement in enterprise finance technology toward dedicated platforms that combine financial workflows, data integration and AI-assisted analysis while attempting to reduce the number of disconnected systems finance leaders must manage.

Market Landscape

The finance technology market is increasingly converging around integrated financial planning, reporting, close management, compliance and AI-powered analytics.

At the same time, enterprises are creating a parallel demand for technologies that make data usable for AI. Data preparation, governance, validation and accessibility can become bottlenecks even when organizations have access to advanced AI models.

insightsoftware’s portfolio strategy addresses these challenges through specialized brands rather than a single product identity. Lineos focuses on the CFO workflow, while Simba targets the underlying intelligence and data-access layer and Certent addresses equity-management requirements.

For enterprise buyers, the competitive landscape includes EPM suites, financial close platforms, analytics providers, data infrastructure companies and specialized fintech software. Integration, data governance, AI explainability and the ability to modernize existing systems without unnecessary migration are becoming increasingly important purchasing considerations.
