VT Markets Launches ‘Finance Forward’ to Boost Financial Literacy Across Southeast Asia

Financial literacy is increasingly becoming a priority for businesses alongside regulators and educators, and online trading platform VT Markets is the latest company to invest in closing the knowledge gap.

The global brokerage has launched Finance Forward, a new corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative designed to equip young adults with practical financial skills, including budgeting, saving, and informed financial decision-making. The program will debut across Southeast Asia before expanding into additional global markets.

Rather than focusing on investing or trading education, the initiative emphasizes foundational money management skills that many young people often leave school without.

Tackling the Financial Knowledge Gap

According to VT Markets, the program was created to address the disconnect between traditional education and the practical financial knowledge needed in everyday life.

Working alongside local schools and community organizations, the company will deliver educational workshops covering key personal finance topics such as budgeting, strategic saving, and responsible financial planning.

The initiative is built on the belief that developing financial literacy early can improve long-term financial independence and help young adults make more informed economic decisions throughout their lives.

VT Markets says Finance Forward represents more than a one-time educational campaign.

The company plans to gradually expand the initiative beyond Southeast Asia, making it part of a broader global commitment to improving financial literacy in the communities where it operates.

Dandelyn Koh, Global Head of Marketing at VT Markets, said the company sees firsthand the gap between financial knowledge taught in classrooms and the practical skills young adults need after entering the workforce.

According to Koh, learning how to budget, save, and make sound financial decisions early can have a compounding effect over time, leading to stronger financial independence in later life.

That philosophy aligns with growing evidence that financial habits established during adolescence and early adulthood often influence long-term saving behavior, debt management, and investment decisions.

Why Financial Literacy Matters More Than Ever

The launch comes at a time when financial literacy is attracting renewed global attention.
