Murex Expands MX.3 Cloud Services Through Strategic AWS Collaboration

Murex, a global provider of cross-asset financial technology solutions, has deepened its partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS) in a multi-year strategic agreement aimed at scaling its MX.3 platform and cloud-native offerings. The collaboration strengthens Murex’s ability to deliver managed services, SaaS solutions, and sophisticated risk analytics to financial institutions worldwide.

Accelerating Cloud-Native Innovation

The expanded partnership enables Murex to grow its MXSaaS and XVA as a Service offerings on AWS, providing clients with scalable, secure, and flexible access to trading and risk management technology. XVA as a Service leverages AWS elastic computing to deliver advanced risk analytics efficiently, while MXSaaS now counts four additional customers since the agreement was signed in June, signaling strong market adoption.

By running on AWS, Murex Managed Services gains enhanced agility, resiliency, and automation, allowing financial institutions to optimize performance monitoring, accelerate upgrades, and prevent service disruptions. The integration also streamlines technical processes, enabling runtime trend identification and faster time-to-market for new features.

Investing in Operational Scale

Murex is committing significant resources to scale MXSaaS operations, expanding its global team and equipping FinOps and DevOps functions with modern cloud technologies. This ensures that the company can meet the growing demand for SaaS-based capital markets solutions while maintaining operational excellence and compliance across global jurisdictions.

“Financial institutions across banking, capital markets, and asset management are increasingly seeking cloud-based solutions that can reduce operational complexity while providing access to innovation,” said Charlie Sanderson, Director of EMEA Technology Partners at AWS. “This collaboration combines AWS’s proven infrastructure with Murex’s capital markets solutions to help customers increase agility and time-to-market, while maintaining the highest levels of security, compliance, and efficiency.”

Murex CEO Elias Eddé emphasized the value for clients facing regulatory and market pressures: “Running mission-critical trading and risk management platforms requires significant infrastructure investment and specialized resources. Jointly with AWS, Murex delivers them as a service today, extending capabilities developed over years of collaboration.”

Implications for Financial Institutions

The partnership reflects a broader trend of capital markets technology moving toward cloud-native, SaaS-driven models. By combining Murex’s industry-leading functional coverage with AWS’s scalable cloud infrastructure, financial institutions can reduce operational overhead, streamline regulatory compliance, and deploy complex analytics faster than on-premises alternatives.
