Hyperscale Data Bets Big on AI Data Centers and Bitcoin Treasury Strategy

Hyperscale Data, Inc. (NYSE American: GPUS) is doubling down on two of the hottest trends in tech—AI infrastructure and Bitcoin reserves. The company announced a $100 million Bitcoin treasury strategy alongside plans to expand its Michigan AI data center campus into one of the largest GPU-powered hubs in the country.

The pivot marks Hyperscale’s transition into a pure-play AI data center and digital asset firm, selling off its Montana data center assets and funding the strategy through both asset sales and an at-the-market equity program.

AI Infrastructure Meets Bitcoin Playbook

Through its subsidiary Sentinum, Inc., Hyperscale has long mined Bitcoin, giving it a foundation in digital assets. Now, it’s adopting a MicroStrategy-style playbook—holding Bitcoin as a core treasury reserve asset while still building out GPU-driven infrastructure for AI and high-performance computing (HPC) workloads.

The Michigan campus currently delivers 30 MW of capacity, with plans to hit 70 MW within 20 months through new natural gas distribution and on-site power generation. Long-term, the site could scale up to a massive 340 MW, subject to funding, utility agreements, and regulatory clearance. Powered by NVIDIA GPUs, the facility is aimed squarely at enterprise AI and cloud clients chasing compute power for training and deploying large-scale models.

“This marks a pivotal moment in Hyperscale Data’s evolution,” said William B. Horne, CEO of Hyperscale Data. “By focusing our resources to accelerate Bitcoin accumulation while also expanding Michigan, we are pursuing a dual strategy designed to create long-term value for our shareholders and position Hyperscale Data as a differentiated growth story.”

Transparency and Expansion

Unlike some firms that obscure their crypto activity, Hyperscale plans to publish weekly updates on its digital asset holdings, a transparency move meant to reassure investors navigating the volatility of Bitcoin and AI markets alike.

The dual-focus strategy—balancing Bitcoin accumulation with AI infrastructure growth—could set Hyperscale apart from other players in the digital assets or data center space, many of which pick one lane. By bridging both, Hyperscale is betting it can ride two of the most powerful technological and financial waves of the decade.
