Bolt Hires Olta Andoni to Lead Legal and People Ops Amid Crypto-Enabled Checkout Expansion

Bolt, the fintech and crypto infrastructure company behind the Bolt SuperApp, has appointed Olta Andoni as Senior Vice President of Legal and People. Andoni will spearhead the company’s legal, regulatory, compliance, and people operations as Bolt scales its platform across checkout, identity verification, and crypto-enabled payments.

The move comes during a period of accelerated product growth. Andoni’s role is designed to embed compliance and governance directly into Bolt’s operational workflow, ensuring fast product rollouts meet regulatory standards and maintain user trust. She will collaborate closely with Bolt’s product, engineering, and leadership teams to integrate legal, privacy, and governance considerations into the platform from the ground up.

“Building durable commerce infrastructure requires clear decisions, consistent execution, and strong governance,” said Bolt Founder and CEO Ryan Breslow. “Olta brings the experience and judgment required to help teams move quickly while maintaining the standards merchants and consumers expect.”

In addition to legal oversight, Andoni will lead Bolt’s people operations, aligning internal policies, hiring, and team structures with product goals. This approach reflects Bolt’s focus on a performance-driven culture that balances speed with accountability as the company grows.

Andoni brings a deep background in digital assets and regulatory frameworks. She previously served as General Counsel at Enclave Markets, a fully encrypted blockchain exchange incubated by Avalanche, and as Chief Legal Officer at Nifty’s, an NFT-focused social platform. She also spent nearly a decade as an adjunct professor at Chicago-Kent College of Law and is active in U.S. digital asset regulatory policy.

“Payments, identity, and financial infrastructure are converging rapidly,” said Andoni. “At Bolt, my focus is on embedding compliance, privacy, and trust into the platform so teams can move fast while merchants and consumers have confidence in the system.”

Bolt’s strategic hire reflects a broader trend in fintech: as platforms increasingly combine crypto, payments, and identity services, integrating legal and regulatory oversight into the product lifecycle becomes critical for sustainable growth. With Andoni on board, Bolt positions itself to expand rapidly while maintaining transparency and trust for merchants, users, and investors.
