Bank of America Brings AI-Powered Capital Markets Insights to CashPro App

Bank of America is taking its CashPro® App a step further this week, introducing Capital Markets Insights, a new AI-driven feature aimed at simplifying decision-making for corporate treasurers and CFOs. The update brings a centralized view of market and issuance data for Investment Grade Capital Markets, directly to U.S.-based CashPro users via mobile.

“CFOs and treasurers using the CashPro App to approve payments are the same people making debt issuance decisions,” said Tom Durkin, global product head of CashPro in Global Payments Solutions at Bank of America. “Capital Markets Insights deepens the app’s ability to enhance and simplify our investment-grade clients’ decision making.”

AI-Powered Trade Evaluation Driver (TED)

At the heart of Capital Markets Insights is the Trade Evaluation Driver (TED), an AI-driven algorithm that quantifies market variables into a single score. The TED score provides an objective snapshot of the macroeconomic backdrop, helping debt issuers assess the viability of an investment-grade issuance on any given day.

This integration means that information previously scattered across emails, phone calls, and third-party services is now aggregated and presented on-demand in the app. Users can view:

  • Market statistics, including the proprietary TED score
  • Same-day and historical issuance data
  • Investment-grade secondary bond pricing, searchable across the platform

CashPro: More Than a Banking App

CashPro is already a critical tool for over 40,000 corporate and commercial clients worldwide, managing treasury, trade, credit, and other operations. Many rely on the mobile version for convenience, personalization, and security. With Capital Markets Insights, Bank of America positions CashPro as not just a banking platform, but a decision-making hub for corporate finance teams.

“Our CashPro App is reaching a point of ubiquity amongst our clients thanks to its robust functionality and intuitive user interface,” said Jon Klein, co-head of Global Investment Grade Capital Markets and head of EMEA Capital Markets at Bank of America. “By digitizing Capital Markets Insights within the app, clients will be able to act more quickly and efficiently based on relevant market information.”

The move reflects a broader trend in corporate finance, where AI and mobile platforms are increasingly replacing fragmented communication channels, enabling faster, data-driven decisions in investment-grade markets.
