ETF.com Rehires Dave Nadig as President, Betting Big on Events and Community

ETF.com is bringing back a familiar face to steer its next evolution. The company announced today that Dave Nadig—one of the ETF industry’s most recognizable voices—has been appointed President and Director of Research as the outlet shifts gears under new ownership.

ETF.com was recently acquired by Matt Middleton (founder of Future Proof) and Anil D. Aggarwal (founder of Money20/20 and Fintech Meetup). The pair are positioning the brand as more than a news and research site: their vision is an events-driven, multimedia platform blending content, community, and live experiences.

A Veteran Returns

Nadig is hardly a newcomer. He previously served as CEO and Managing Director at ETF.com before stints at FactSet, VettaFi (where he was Financial Futurist), and Barclays Global Investors, where he helped design some of the industry’s earliest ETF products. He also co-created marquee industry gatherings like Inside ETFs and Exchange ETF, giving him deep roots in both media and events.

“Few leaders are more trusted in the ETF world than Dave,” said Middleton. “His vision, energy, and credibility make him the perfect partner as we turn ETF.com into a next-generation platform.”

For his part, Nadig framed the role in terms of investor trust:

“With 4,000+ funds, investors need help not just understanding what they own, but who they’re trusting with their wealth. We’re rebuilding ETF.com to be that engine of trust, one smart conversation at a time.”

Why It Matters

The move comes as the ETF industry faces both record adoption and record complexity. ETFs have gone from niche upstarts to the backbone of portfolios worldwide, but with thousands of choices—and plenty of lookalike products—investors and advisors need help cutting through the noise.

That’s where ETF.com’s planned pivot matters. By emphasizing live events, expert voices, and interactive community-building, the platform is aiming to carve out a role beyond traditional financial media. It’s a strategy Aggarwal has executed before: both Money20/20 and Fintech Meetup became must-attend gatherings by blending media and in-person engagement.

“Bringing Dave on board is central to our mission,” Aggarwal said. “We are focused on creating innovative, high-value experiences that bring investors together with leading voices and connect product providers directly to an engaged community.”

What’s Next

ETF.com teased refreshed offerings in the coming months, promising more spotlight on unique industry perspectives, investor education, and networking opportunities across digital and live platforms.

With Nadig’s return, ETF.com looks poised to become more than a research site—it wants to be the hub where the ETF industry talks to itself.
