Roborock Revenue Rises 27.6% as Robot-Cleaning Ecosystem Expands Globally

Roborock is accelerating its push beyond robot vacuum cleaners after reporting RMB 10.084 billion in first-half 2026 revenue, up 27.6% year over year, while net profit attributable to shareholders rose 45.6% to RMB 986 million. The company’s growth is being supported by overseas expansion, AI-driven robotics and a widening product portfolio that now reaches floors, lawns and swimming pools.

Roborock’s growth story moves beyond robot vacuums

Roborock’s first-half performance shows how quickly household robotics is evolving from a single-product category into a broader automation market.

The company reported revenue of RMB 10.084 billion for the first six months of 2026, compared with RMB 7.903 billion a year earlier. Net profit attributable to shareholders reached RMB 986 million, versus RMB 677.5 million in the prior-year period.

The results come as competition in smart cleaning becomes increasingly global. IDC reported that worldwide household cleaning-robot shipments reached 8.936 million units in the first quarter of 2026, with robot vacuum shipments growing 29.4% year over year to 6.563 million units.

For Roborock, the opportunity is no longer limited to selling increasingly sophisticated vacuum cleaners. The company’s latest strategy is to build an ecosystem of autonomous machines capable of handling multiple household environments.

Overseas expansion becomes a major growth engine

International markets remain central to Roborock’s expansion.

The company said its robot vacuum business reached a 45% market share in Europe during the first half, with unit sales increasing 24% year over year. Wet-and-dry vacuum unit sales grew even faster, rising 112%.

In North America, Roborock reported a 33% robot-vacuum market share and 30% year-over-year unit-sales growth.

The company also said it ranked first in robot-vacuum sales during Amazon Prime Day 2026 in Germany, the UK, Spain, the Netherlands, Belgium, the U.S. and Canada.

Those claims fit into a broader market shift identified by IDC, which says Chinese smart-vacuum brands have reshaped the global category through faster innovation cycles, aggressive international expansion and increasingly sophisticated AI-enabled products.

Premium positioning is gaining traction in Asia-Pacific

Roborock’s momentum also extends across Asia-Pacific.

The company said it ranked first in unit shipments and sales value in Australia, South Korea, Taiwan and Türkiye from the first quarter of 2023 through the first quarter of 2026.

South Korea has become particularly important for premium robotic cleaning. Roborock says it holds more than 70% of the premium robot-vacuum segment there. Its S10 MaxV Ultra reportedly generated approximately KRW 28 billion in sales during its first 10 days following its February 2026 launch.

Japan represents a different opportunity, with Roborock expanding through premium retail distribution, including a relationship with Yamada Denki.

Euromonitor’s research also points to Roborock’s growing presence in Japan, where the company entered in 2019 and has expanded through major retailers and online channels.

Market leadership is increasingly tied to technology

Roborock’s latest performance comes alongside external recognition of its position in smart cleaning.

According to the company, IDC ranked Roborock No. 1 globally for robot-vacuum shipments and sales value in the first half of 2026. Euromonitor International also ranked the brand No. 1 globally by retail sales value for 2025.

IDC’s broader research shows why the category is becoming more technology-intensive. Modern smart vacuums increasingly compete on AI navigation, object recognition, autonomous mapping, self-cleaning systems and integration with wider smart-home ecosystems rather than suction power alone.

This creates a competitive environment where software, sensors and robotics engineering can be as important as the physical cleaning hardware.

R&D investment supports the next product cycle

Roborock spent RMB 720 million on research and development during the first half of 2026, according to the company, representing 7.14% of revenue.

The focus is shifting toward integrating technologies such as intelligent navigation, AI-powered environmental perception, cleaning systems and robotic mobility at the system level.

That approach is important because the next stage of household robotics depends on robots being able to understand and respond to complex environments rather than simply follow predetermined routes.

The company’s Saros line illustrates this direction, combining advanced sensing and mobility systems with automated cleaning functions.

IFA 2026 signals a broader robotics strategy

At IFA 2026 in Berlin, Roborock expanded the scope of its portfolio substantially.

The company’s new RockAqua P1 is its first robotic pool cleaner, while the RockNeo Q2 LiDAR brings autonomous navigation and LiDAR-based environmental perception to lawn care. The company also showcased new floor-cleaning products and the Saros Rover concept, designed around a two-wheel-leg architecture for navigating beyond conventional flat-floor environments.

The RockNeo Q2 uses LiDAR-based mapping and AI-powered obstacle avoidance, while the RockAqua P1 is designed for automated pool cleaning.

The expansion reflects a wider industry trend. IDC says cleaning robotics is moving from single-purpose indoor automation toward multi-scenario intelligent automation, including lawn, pool and other household applications.

That could ultimately prove more important than any individual vacuum model.

From robot vacuum brand to home robotics platform

Roborock’s first-half results therefore tell two stories.

The first is financial: revenue and profit are growing rapidly, supported by international demand and premium positioning.

The second is strategic: the company is trying to transform itself from a robot-vacuum specialist into a broader home robotics platform.

That strategy brings new opportunities but also new competitive risks. Roborock now faces established and emerging competitors across several categories, including robot vacuums, robotic lawn mowers and pool-cleaning machines.

Success will depend on whether its underlying technologies can transfer effectively between environments while maintaining reliability, affordability and strong local distribution.

For consumers, the longer-term significance may be even broader. As sensing, AI and autonomous mobility improve, household robots are moving closer to becoming a connected fleet of machines rather than isolated appliances.

Roborock’s latest results suggest the company intends to be one of the brands defining that transition.

Market Landscape

The global cleaning-robot market is moving into a more competitive phase where AI, autonomous navigation and multi-category expansion are becoming central differentiators.

IDC’s Q1 2026 data shows robot-vacuum shipments growing strongly, while lawn-mowing robotics also recorded rapid expansion.

At the same time, established players such as iRobot are facing a substantially different competitive environment, while Chinese brands including Roborock, Dreame and Ecovacs have gained ground through rapid product development and global distribution.

The emerging battleground is therefore shifting from which vacuum cleans best to which company can build the most capable, reliable and scalable household robotics ecosystem.
