Longbridge Singapore Wins ABF Fintech Award for Building the World’s First AI-Native Brokerage

Artificial intelligence is rapidly changing online investing, and Longbridge Securities (Singapore) believes the future belongs to brokerages built around AI—not those simply adding AI features.

The AI-powered brokerage has been named the winner of the InvestTech Initiative Award – Singapore at the Asian Banking & Finance (ABF) Fintech Awards 2026, recognizing its efforts to develop what the company describes as the world’s first AI-native broker.

The award highlights Longbridge Singapore’s continued investment in artificial intelligence and its vision of embedding AI across every stage of the investing journey, from market discovery and research to portfolio analysis and trade execution.

Moving Beyond AI Chatbots

Many brokerages have introduced AI assistants to answer investor questions or summarize market news. Longbridge is taking a broader approach.

Rather than treating AI as an add-on feature, the company has built an integrated brokerage platform where artificial intelligence functions as the underlying intelligence layer across the entire investment workflow.

At the center of this strategy is Longbridge AI, which continuously monitors market developments, analyzes investor portfolios, and delivers personalized investment insights.

The platform has already demonstrated significant scale. Since launching in 2024, Longbridge AI has generated 57.3 million portfolio updates, answered more than 557,000 investment-related queries, and analyzed over 28,000 corporate earnings reports during 2025 alone.

Those figures underscore how AI is evolving from a simple productivity tool into an active component of digital investing platforms.

A Connected AI Investing Ecosystem

Longbridge’s AI strategy extends beyond its brokerage application.

Within the Longbridge App, investors can interact using voice, text, and image-based inputs, replacing many of the traditional menu-driven workflows common in online trading platforms.

The company has also introduced Longbridge Skill, enabling investors to access its market intelligence and brokerage capabilities through external AI platforms they already use.

Perhaps the most ambitious addition is the Longbridge Agent Platform, which allows investors to create customized AI investing agents using natural language prompts.

These agents can automate research and investment workflows while operating within governance controls that include compliance guardrails, transparent disclosures, and community-based ratings.

The approach reflects a growing trend in financial services toward agentic AI, where intelligent software performs complex multi-step tasks while leaving final investment decisions in the hands of users.

AI Is Becoming the Brokerage Infrastructure

The online brokerage industry is entering a new phase of AI adoption.

Earlier deployments focused on chatbots, customer support, and market summaries. Today’s platforms are embedding AI much deeper into trading, portfolio management, research, and decision support.

Global brokerages, wealth management firms, and fintech startups are increasingly competing to deliver more personalized investing experiences powered by machine learning and generative AI.

Longbridge’s AI-native architecture positions it differently from many established brokers that continue integrating AI into legacy trading systems. Instead of retrofitting existing infrastructure, the company has designed its platform with AI serving as the connective layer between research, portfolio monitoring, and execution.

Why It Matters

Winning the InvestTech Initiative Award – Singapore reflects more than product innovation—it highlights the growing importance of AI as a competitive differentiator in digital investing.

As retail investors expect faster insights, personalized recommendations, and seamless trading experiences, brokerages are under increasing pressure to modernize their technology stacks.

Longbridge’s integrated ecosystem demonstrates how AI can move beyond answering questions to actively supporting every stage of the investing process while maintaining investor oversight of final trading decisions.

Whether AI-native brokerages become the industry’s standard remains to be seen. Regulatory scrutiny around AI-driven financial advice, transparency, and automated decision-making continues to evolve across global markets.

Still, Longbridge’s latest recognition signals that the next generation of brokerage platforms may compete less on commission fees and more on the intelligence powering every investor interaction.
